Ukraine to Launch Registry Tracking Children Deportations and Human Rights Violations Since 2014
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed law № 4071-IX, establishing a registry to document information about children deported or forcibly displaced due to Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.
The document also outlines the principles for creating and operating a registry to record damages caused to individuals' personal non-property rights as a result of Russia's armed aggression.
This includes injuries or harm to health, torture, cruel or inhumane treatment or punishment, and loss of access to medical, social, or educational services, among other issues.
The registry will specifically record information on damages to personal non-property rights inflicted since February 19, 2014, on Ukrainians, foreign nationals, and stateless persons legally residing in Ukraine.
Previously, it was reported that the Russian presidential aircraft and resources were utilized in a program to forcibly transfer children from occupied Ukrainian territories, erase their Ukrainian identity, and place them with Russian families.
