On the night of September 21, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully struck two key military arsenals in Russia, dealing a significant blow to Russian military logistics. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the strikes targeted the Tikhoretsk arsenal in Russia’s Krasnodar region and the 23rd arsenal of the Russian Ministry of Defense near the village of Oktyabrsk in Tver region.

The Tikhoretsk facility is one of Russia’s largest munitions storage sites and plays a critical role in the country’s military supply chain. Ukrainian forces reported that, at the time of the strike, a train had delivered over 2,000 tons of munitions to the site, including ammunition from North Korea. Additionally, a Podlet radar station, which monitored aerial targets in the direction of the arsenal, was hit during the operation.

Simultaneously, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) targeted the 23rd artillery arsenal in the Tver region. Both strikes resulted in fires and ongoing detonation of munitions at the sites.

The Ukrainian military highlighted the coordinated effort between its Drone Forces, Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and other defense units in executing these successful operations. The General Staff confirmed that these efforts are part of ongoing strikes on critical Russian military infrastructure.
