Ukrainian Defense Forces Strike "Kavkaz" Plant in Russia's Rostov Region

On the night of August 18, Defense forces of Ukraine carried out a strike on the "Kavkaz" plant in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation.

At least two sources of ignition were recorded on the territory of the facility. More detailed information about the consequences of the operation is being clarified.

“Oil and oil products were stored here, which were also supplied for the needs of the occupation army of the Russian Federation,” the Defense forces of Ukraine reported.

The task was carried out by the forces and means of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in cooperation with the Armed Forces and other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The Governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, reports that in the west of the region, air defense allegedly "repelled an attack by an aircraft-type UAV."

Subsequently, he wrote about another "reflected attack" of drones, but already in the south-east of the Rostov region.

"As a result of debris falling on the territory of industrial warehouses in Proletarsk, diesel fuel caught fire. Fire brigades are involved in extinguishing it," the Governor said.

Ukraine has been successfully carrying out strikes on the Russian territory. On the night of August 9, the Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Armed Forces and Special Operations Forces, struck the Russian military airfield "Lipetsk-2."
