Ukrainian Drone Maker SkyFall Unveils P1-SUN Shahed Interceptor At Dubai Airshow 2025

Ukrainian drone manufacturer SkyFall has unveiled its P1-SUN interceptor drone to an international audience at the Dubai Airshow 2025 in the United Arab Emirates, marking the first time the system has been publicly displayed outside Ukraine, according to a report by Bloomberg on November 18.
Bloomberg reported that SkyFall, known as the producer of the Shrike FPV drone used by Ukraine’s military, presented the interceptor alongside other combat-tested unmanned systems on the air show’s opening day.
The new P1-SUN interceptor features a modular design built around a 3D-printed airframe, and a company representative at the show stated that SkyFall is already producing the system in the thousands each month.

SkyFall has previously described the P1-SUN as “a drone optimized for intercepting Shahed UAVs,” according to a company representative who spoke at a defense innovation forum in The Hague earlier this year, positioning the system specifically against the Iranian-designed attack drones Russia uses in regular strikes on Ukrainian cities.
Ukrainian officials say such interceptors complement a broader effort to deploy domestically developed systems based on the “Octopus” technology, which has been transferred into serial production at several plants to bolster defenses against large-scale Shahed attacks.
Earlier, it was reported that as US firms struggled to deliver affordable battlefield-ready drones, the Pentagon began turning to Ukraine’s combat-proven systems, adding Skyfall as an approved supplier and exploring integration of its drones into American forces.
