Soldiers from the 425th Separate Assault Battalion "Skelya" of Ukraine's Ground Forces captured two Colombians in Pokrovsk, who had been fighting on the side of Russia.

According to a statement from the assault battalion on Telegram, the two Colombian citizens were taken as prisoners in Pokrovsk.

“They claim they came to Russia for work. The Russians promised them a salary of $2,500 per month and construction work,” the battalion says.

After arriving in Ufa, their documents were taken from them, they were given rifles, and, without food or water, were sent to storm Pokrovsk.

In October, Ukraine’s military intelligence agency intercepted and released a communication that allegedly reveals Colombian mercenaries fighting for Russia were given direct orders to execute civilians, including women and children.

According to HUR, the conversation involves a commander of a Colombian unit integrated into Russia’s 30th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, which is part of the 2nd Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District.

In the intercepted recording, the commander, speaking in Spanish, instructs his troops to fire on all civilians during conditions of poor visibility.

“When there is fog, haze—so that they cannot be identified—they must eliminate all people who are enemies: on motorcycles, on bicycles, women and children, women and children,” the commander is heard saying.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine was notifying foreign governments about the recruitment of their citizens into the Russian military, providing information on 136 mercenaries from 37 countries who were captured by Ukrainian forces.
