The Ukrainian Air Force unit "Sonyashnyk" recently released additional archival footage showing a Ukrainian MiG-29 striking a concentration of Russian assault troops with a French-made AASM-250 Hammer guided bomb.

The AASM-250, deployed from upgraded MiG-29s, is equipped with inertial and satellite navigation systems. Some variants can also feature thermal imaging or laser guidance, though no official confirmation has been made about these specific versions being in service with Ukraine.

Unlike the American JDAM, the AASM-250 is launched with a solid-fuel booster, extending its range up to 70 kilometers and allowing for greater launch flexibility outside enemy air defense zones.

The booster rapidly imparts additional kinetic energy to the bomb, giving pilots more margin for error during release and enabling the munition to cover longer distances.

Earlier, a Ukrainian Air Force jet destroyed a Russian company-level command post and a building housing Russian troops in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.
