Ukrainian Parliament Ratifies Rome Statute
On Wednesday, August 21, Ukrainian parliamentarians supported the draft law on the ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The document was supported by 281 elected representatives.
Earlier, on August 15, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced the bill to the Ukrainian Parliament regarding the ratification of the Rome Statute.
The Rome Statute aims to ensure criminal prosecution for the gravest international crimes, including genocide, aggression, crimes against humanity, and war crimes.
