Following the Ukrainian strike on the “Kushevskaya” airfield, Russia was compelled to relocate approximately 40 aircraft of diverse types from the area and disperse them across numerous airfields further away from the front lines.

This information comes from the briefing of the British Ministry of Defense regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war.

As British observers have pointed out, the consequences of this redistribution are unlikely to be immediately apparent. Nevertheless, Ukraine has already demonstrated its capability to strike deep into Russian territory beyond the areas of this redeployment.

The decision by Russia to take such measures indicates that the duration of its aircraft sorties will need to be extended to maintain the same level of combat readiness as before.

Consequently, this will necessitate increased fuel consumption, higher costs, and additional strain on the flight crews.

On April 30, the British Ministry of Defense acknowledged that Ukraine’s assault on the Russian “Kushevskaya” airfield in Kuban would compel Russia to reposition fighter aircraft and redistribute air defense assets.
