The United States has already transferred 150 Roshel MRAP armored vehicles to Ukraine in 2025, with another 40 currently on the way, US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink announced on April 8.

“Proud to see USG-donated MRAP vehicles headed out to support the Ukrainian National Police & State Border Guard Service as they protect civilians,” Brink wrote on social media.

The Roshel Senator, a Canadian-made Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle, is built on a Ford F-550 chassis.

It features CEN B7-rated armor, offering high-level protection against small arms fire and explosions. The vehicle can carry up to 10 personnel and is designed to withstand shrapnel from 122mm artillery shell detonations nearby.

Its onboard tire pressure regulation system enhances mobility in challenging combat conditions.

The MRAPs are being supplied to Ukrainian law enforcement and border protection units, bolstering efforts to safeguard civilians and secure national infrastructure amid ongoing Russian aggression.

Earlier, reports emerged that Ukraine’s state-owned defense concern “Ukroboronprom” reached an agreement with Canadian company Roshel to co-produce armored vehicles.

Roshel armored vehicles are already widely used by Ukrainian forces, but localizing production will not only speed up deliveries but also strengthen Ukraine’s economy and provide access to advanced Western defense technologies.
