Zelenskyy Announces Ukraine’s First Use of “Palianytsia” Missile Drone

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed today that Ukraine has used the “Palianytsia” missile drone for the first time in an attack on Russian military positions. The announcement was made during celebrations for Ukraine’s Independence Day.

In his address, Zelenskyy described the “Palianytsia” as a groundbreaking weapon, stating, “This is our new method of retaliation against the aggressor. The enemy has been struck. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who made this possible—our developers, manufacturers, and soldiers. I am proud of you all. Russia will find it very difficult, even to pronounce what has hit them. It will be challenging to counter, but it will be very easy to understand why.”

According to Zelenskyy, this weapon represents a “completely new class” of military technology.
