Zelenskyy Meets President of Indonesia at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore

Over the weekend on June 1-2, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attended the Shangri-La Dialogue, Asia’s premier defense summit, in Singapore.

During the summit, Zelenskyy had a series of meetings, where he asked Asia-Pacific leaders to join the first Peace Summit for Ukraine on June 15 and 16 in Switzerland.

On June 1 Zelenskyy met with Prabowo Subianto, the President-Elect of Indonesia, and congratulated him on his victory in the March elections.

“We look forward to Indonesia’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” according to Zelenskyy.

The discussion focused on the steps being taken to implement the ten-point Ukrainian Peace Formula, unveiled by President Zelenskyy during his virtual address to the G20 leaders in Indonesia last year.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed areas of bilateral cooperation. In particular, Zelenskyy noted that despite Russia’s attempts to obstruct civilian navigation in the Black Sea, Ukraine is ready to increase the supply of agricultural products to Indonesia.

Additionally, Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine is willing to develop ties with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and seeks to become a Sectoral Dialogue Partner of the Association.

The list of countries to attend the Peace Summit for Ukraine expends with over 50 countries that have confirmed their attendance.
