Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in meeting with U.S. senators on February 28, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. Senate in Washington during his visit to the United States.

Discussions focused on continued military assistance to Ukraine, legislative initiatives related to aid, a meeting with former President Donald Trump, efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace, Ukraine’s vision for ending the war, and the need for reliable security guarantees.

"We are proud to have such strategic partners and friends as the United States of America," Zelenskyy said, thanking U.S. lawmakers for their "unwavering bicameral and bipartisan support" throughout three years of full-scale Russian aggression.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer met at the White House on February 27 for their first in-person talks since Trump’s election.
