Zelenskyy: More Patriot Systems Expected Soon in Ukraine
On September 20, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff to address key issues on the country's agenda.
According to Zelenskyy, the primary focus was on protecting the energy sector this winter. Reports were presented by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.
“We reviewed the status of engineering protection for facilities, the timeline for completing fortifications, and the deployment of electronic warfare and air defense systems, particularly considering the Patriot systems that we expect to receive soon,” Zelenskyy stated.
In addition to air defense, the meeting addressed domestic production of missiles, drones, and electronic warfare equipment, with insights provided by Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, and Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. The President noted that decisions made would aim to maximize Ukraine's industrial potential through long-term contracts and the attraction of foreign investments.
