Zelenskyy: Peace Summit Could End This War and Ensure It Never Happens Again

Ukraine’s Peace Summit can be the end of this war, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a press conference with EU President Ursula von der Leyen in Kyiv on September 20.

The President emphasized the need to strengthen Ukraine as much as possible in order to organize the second Peace Summit already this year.

"And all of us in Europe are equally interested in peace. Peace is not the freezing of war, not any manipulation of international law and morality. Peace must be reliable and it will be like that," noted Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy added that Ukraine's Victory Plan, which will be presented to US President Joe Biden, requires quick decisions from October to December. The process does not need to be delayed.

"Regarding the Victory Plan. I wanted to be consistent. And I will discuss all the details first of all with the US president. Because most of the decisions regarding the plan depend on him," he said.

The plan also depends on other allies, but there are points that depend precisely on the positive will and support of the United States.

"The whole plan is designed for quick decisions by our partners. The plan is designed for decisions that should take place starting from October to December and not delay these processes. We would very much like that. Then we believe that the plan will work," the President said.
