Zelenskyy: Putin’s Efforts to Halt US Intelligence Access Will Endanger Ukrainian Lives

Without intelligence data from the United States, Ukraine loses critical information regarding the accuracy of Russian ballistic missile launches, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated during a joint press conference with Finnish President Alexander Stubb on March 19.
“Why does Putin want this? If he doesn’t want to kill us, why fight to stop President Trump from sharing this information with us?” Zelenskyy wondered.
The Ukrainian President believes that this move by the Russian leader shows' Moscow’s intention of targeting Ukrainian civilians with missiles without Ukraine knowing.
“It means he wants us not to know about these attacks, so our people don’t seek shelter in bomb shelters. This all points to the continuation of the war,” Zelenskyy remarked.
According to the President, no one can influence the US regarding aid to other countries, including Ukraine, as it is a personal decision of US President Donald Trump.
On March 18, Trump and Putin held a phone conversation regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine, where the Kremlin demanded a complete halt to foreign military aid and intelligence support to Ukraine, describing it as a key condition for avoiding further escalation of the war.
