Zelenskyy Reveals Promised 6-7 Air Defense Systems Still Undelivered to Ukraine
During an interview with representatives of leading media from Northern European countries, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine was promised 6-7 air defense systems but still hasn’t received them.
“When we were told that they couldn’t admit us to NATO during wartime but instead promised 6-7 systems to protect our skies. You can’t compare these things, but during the war, we agreed because we needed to protect ourselves. These systems are very important for us. But we still haven’t received them and cannot rely on this substantial air defense support during the heating season,” Zelenskyy said.
Ukrainian President stated that some partners have provided Ukraine with only 10% of the promised equipment package.
On October 29, Zelenskyy held meetings with the prime ministers of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland during his visit to Reykjavik.
Following Russian attacks, Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been undergoing preparations ahead of the winter. As of early September, 82% of heating facilities and 85% of protective structures at Ukrenergo sites were reportedly ready.
