Zelenskyy: Russia Plans to Disrupt Peace Summit, According to Intelligence

In a Telegram post published on the 24th of April 2024, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned of Russia’s plan to derail the Peace Summit:

“We have specific intelligence data indicating that Russia not only wants to disrupt the Peace Summit, but also has a specific plan for how to do so, including how to reduce the number of participating countries and how to act in order to thwart peace efforts for even longer”

“To counter this, we must work together, in unity, to achieve a just peace. We are all equally interested in forcing Russia to make peace and adhere to international law. The world majority can ensure this. The Global Peace Summit in Switzerland provides us with a real opportunity to achieve just peace and restore full force to international law,” he added.

Zelenskyy reminded everyone that the Summit is the first real diplomatic step in all the years of war, despite past attempts. 

“And I really want this to be not just an attempt, but a tangible result,” the Head of State concluded.

The first Global Peace Summit will be held according to the Ukrainian Peace Formula proposed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It consists of ten points, each of which is addressed by a separate working group.
