Zelenskyy to Discuss Next Steps With Trump in Planned Phone Call on March 19

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he will have a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, March 19.
“Today, I will have contact with President Trump. We will discuss the details of the next steps,” Zelenskyy said during a press conference at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki with Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
During the same joint conference, Zelenskyy stated that Russia’s actions do not match its statements.
“Overnight, 150 drones were launched, attacking, among other things, energy facilities, transportation, and, tragically, two hospitals. Civilian infrastructure also suffered heavy damage,” Zelenskyy said.
On March 18, Trump and Putin held a phone conversation regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine, where the Russian side agreed to halt strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure for 30 days.
