Zelenskyy Visits Pennsylvania Factory Producing 155mm Artillery Shells for Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy began his US trip by visiting Scranton Army Ammunition Plant (SCAAP) in Pennsylvania, where 155mm artillery shells are manufactured for Ukraine on September 22, 2024.

He expressed gratitude to the workers of the factory, and emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating, “The visit to the United States started with thanks to all the workers of the plant and agreements on expanding cooperation between Pennsylvania and our Zaporizhzhia.”

While at the SCAAP in Pennsylvania, Zelenskyy signed a 155mm artillery shell, symbolizing the ongoing support Ukraine receives.

He also met with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, State Senator Bob Casey, and Congressman Matt Cartwright.

“Thanks for all the support. We agreed to work even more actively so that our joint strength — Ukraine and America — continues to grow,” Zelenskyy said.

He added, “And I want to give a special thanks to everyone who welcomed us in Scranton with the blue and yellow colors of our flag.”

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska have arrived in the US to participate in the UN General Assembly High-level Week.
