Andrii Hnatov

Former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since March 2025. A career marine officer with over 27 years of service who stayed loyal to Ukraine during the 2014 Crimea annexation, led the defense of Bakhmut, and commanded the Joint Forces before taking the top staff role. Tasked with implementing Ukraine's corps-based military restructuring.
