Ihor Klymenko

Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine since 3 August 2026, succeeding Rustem Umerov. Previously served as Minister of Internal Affairs (2023–2026) and Chief of the National Police (2019–2023). Appointed Minister after the death of Denys Monastyrsky in the 2023 Brovary helicopter crash. During his tenure as minister, oversaw wartime policing under martial law and coordinated law enforcement responses to Russian strikes. Holds a doctorate in psychology (2019).
