Daily Update: Russia Loses 890 Troops, 61 Artillery Systems, and 1,851 Drones in One Day

Russian forces lost 890 troops, six armored combat vehicles, and 61 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning update on May 7.
According to the Ukrainian military, Russia’s total estimated combat losses since the launch of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 1,338,060 personnel.

The latest figures also indicate continued heavy losses in Russian artillery and drone capabilities. Ukrainian defenders reportedly destroyed one multiple launch rocket system, two air defense systems, and 1,851 operational-tactical UAVs over the reporting period.
In addition, Russian forces lost four ground robotic systems, 233 military vehicles, and fuel tankers, as well as two pieces of special equipment.

Ukraine’s General Staff estimates that Russian forces have now lost 11,918 tanks, 24,521 armored combat vehicles, and 41,539 artillery systems since the beginning of the war.
The report further states that 157 combat engagements took place along the front line during the previous day as Russian troops continued offensive operations across several sectors.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck a Russian training facility in the temporarily occupied settlement of Khrustalnyi in the Luhansk region, targeting a center used to train artillery spotters and drone operators.
