Russia Drops Paratrooper Flag on Ukrainian Town—FPV Drone Destroys It 30 Seconds Later, Video

Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian paratrooper flag approximately 30 seconds after it was dropped onto a damaged residential building in Velyka Pysarivka, a settlement in Ukraine’s Sumy region.

The 105th Territorial Defense Brigade said Russian forces used a drone to place the flag on the roof of the building. Video of the incident was published by Ukraine’s 14th Army Corps on August 3.
The footage shows a Russian drone dropping a flag associated with Russia’s Airborne Forces before a Ukrainian FPV drone approaches the site and strikes it. According to the brigade, its drone operators detected and destroyed the flag before Russian forces could use it to support claims of territorial gains.
“Enemy rags do not remain on Ukrainian soil for long,” the 105th Territorial Defense Brigade said.
Velyka Pysarivka is located close to the Ukrainian-Russian border and has sustained extensive damage during repeated Russian attacks. Ukrainian forces continue to defend the area as Russia conducts cross-border operations and attempts to advance in parts of the Sumy region.
The incident follows another disputed Russian attempt to demonstrate battlefield gains using flag footage. In late July, Russian military channels published a video claiming troops had captured Bilyi Kolodyaz in the Kharkiv region, but analysts identified signs of digital manipulation, including an oversized soldier and a flag that disappeared from the frame.
