A Russian military drone deliberately pursued a civilian man selling vegetables at a market in Kherson, injuring him in what Ukrainian authorities described as another documented war crime.

According to Ukraine's National Police in the Kherson region on August 4, the released footage shows the drone circling above a market as it tracks a man attempting to escape.

“The man in the video shows no signs of being a combatant. He is simply selling goods at the market. Yet for the military of the aggressor state, he is still a target,” the police said.

The victim, a 52-year-old resident of Ukraine's Mykolaiv region, survived the attack. He sustained blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and a concussion, and is receiving medical treatment.

“These images make your blood run cold and fill your heart with anger. The whole world must see them,” the police said.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha also commented on the attack.

“This is a deliberate and systemic Russian strategy. They know exactly what they are doing. The sadist operating this drone knows full well that he is targeting a civilian,” Sybiha wrote on X.

He added that the footage demonstrates Russia's intent to repeat atrocities such as those committed in Bucha wherever its forces are able to advance.
