The incident marked the seventh drone attack on the Afipsky refinery since the beginning of 2026, according to The Moscow Times.
Krasnodar regional operational headquarters confirmed that a fire had broken out at an unnamed enterprise in Afipsky, attributing it to falling drone debris, Interfax reported on November 6.
Russian authorities reported no casualties and confirmed that drone fragments damaged an apartment window in a nearby residential building. Officials did not identify the affected enterprise or confirm damage to refinery equipment.

The Afipsky refinery is located in the settlement of Afipsky, Seversky District, approximately 20 kilometers southwest of Krasnodar. The facility has a reported processing capacity of approximately 6.25 million metric tons of crude oil annually and produces diesel fuel, gasoline components, and other petroleum products.
The refinery has previously been targeted by Ukrainian forces. A Ukrainian drone strike caused a fire at the facility, as reported on June 11, citing Ukraine’s General Staff. The operation also targeted Russian military logistics facilities, drone production sites, and command posts across Russian territory and temporarily occupied Ukrainian regions.
