Which Countries Delivered the Most Abrams, Leopard, HIMARS, and Patriot Systems to Ukraine?

From Abrams tanks and Patriot air defenses to HIMARS launchers and M777 howitzers, Western allies have supplied Ukraine with a broad arsenal of advanced military equipment since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, with different countries emerging as the leading donors across key weapon categories.

The figures come from a model-level export of the Ukraine Support Tracker generated on August 4. Donors were ranked by documented delivered quantities, with duplicate and inconsistently labeled records merged before comparison.

The totals combine different types of equipment, so one rifle, missile, vehicle, or air-defense battery is counted as a single delivered unit. Each figure uses the tracker’s conservative delivered count—the highest disclosed delivery figure for a single donor-and-system entry.

These totals cover weapons and systems delivered by Western donor countries, not exclusively Western-designed equipment. Several of the largest entries involve Soviet-designed weapons transferred from existing national stockpiles.

Main battle tanks

Poland leads the documented tank category with 254 delivered vehicles, primarily modified T-72s, PT-91 Twardys, and Leopard 2A4s.

The Netherlands follows with 86 tanks, Germany with 78, and Denmark with 57, largely through deliveries or financing of Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 variants.

Australia’s 49 M1A1 Abrams represent the largest disclosed Abrams delivery in the dataset. The corresponding delivered quantity for the United States is not disclosed and is therefore excluded from the comparison.

Artillery pieces

The United Kingdom leads documented deliveries of howitzers and self-propelled artillery with 94 systems, including AS-90s, L119 105mm guns, and M109 155mm howitzers.

The United States follows with 90 artillery pieces, including 72 M777 howitzers. Italy delivered 40 and Denmark 37, according to the tracker.

Armored vehicles

The United States leads documented armored-vehicle deliveries with 290 vehicles, primarily 200 M113 armored personnel carriers and 90 Strykers.

Germany ranks second with 154, followed by Denmark with 130 and the United Kingdom with 118.

Air defense

Germany delivered the broadest documented mix of dedicated air-defense equipment, including 30 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, two Patriot batteries, and two IRIS-T systems.

It also supplied 500 Stinger missiles or launchers, the largest documented quantity among the donors compared.

The United States delivered six NASAMS systems, eight Avenger units, one Patriot battery, and 423 Stinger missiles or launchers.

The tracker records five Patriot batteries delivered in total: two from Germany and one each from the Netherlands, Romania, and the United States.

Comparisons in every category remain dependent on what individual governments disclose.

Earlier, Poland, the largest documented supplier of main battle tanks, announced plans to declassify its complete record of military aid delivered to Ukraine since 2022.

The disclosure could reveal previously withheld transfers, including reported Polish deliveries of PAC-3 interceptor missiles for Patriot air-defense systems.
