Philip Malzahn serves as an in-house correspondent for UNITED24 Media, with a focus on reporting in Ukraine’s war zones. Born in Blantyre, Malawi, in 1991. Grew up in Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates. Studied Arabic in Leipzig, Cairo, and Vienna. As a freelance correspondent, he has reported from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Nagorno-Karabakh, Ukraine, Chechnya, and others. For a couple of years, he worked as an editor responsible for Middle East coverage at the German daily newspaper Neues Deutschland.
