Watch: The Australian BUSHMASTER, Ukraine’s Lifeline in the Kursk Region

Our journalist Philip Malzahn filmed the Ukrainian crew operating an Australian Infantry Mobility Vehicle BUSHMASTER delivered to Ukraine to help the Armed Forces defend their country. Some of these vehicles are now in service with the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces, which are operating them on their dangerous missions in Russia’s Kursk region.

Outfitted with a 7.62mm light machine gun, thermal vision, and robust armor, the 4x4 vehicle is designed for resilience and versatility. The BUSHMASTER crew reveals how this vehicle is more than a machine—it’s a reliable partner on the frontlines. They recount tense moments navigating treacherous terrain, using the BUSHMASTER’s advanced features to tow disabled vehicles and deliver supplies under enemy fire. Its unique design, including bomb-resistant hatches and reinforced armor, provides essential protection during high-stakes missions.
