20-Year-Old Finnish Volunteer Among Latest Foreign Casualties in Ukraine

A 20-year-old Finnish volunteer has died fighting for Ukraine, according to reports from the Finnish news outlet Turun Sanomat on April 15.
The individual, who had left Finland a few months ago to voluntarily join the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was reportedly killed during hostilities in the eastern part of the country.
The Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that a Finnish citizen was either killed or missing as of Sunday, April 13.
Jussi Tanner, head of the ministry’s consular affairs department, stated that Finnish authorities are in contact with Ukrainian officials regarding the case.
In related news, a Russian military court in Kursk sentenced 22-year-old British citizen James Scott Rhys Anderson to 19 years in prison on charges of terrorism and mercenary activities, the Joint Press Service of the Judicial System of the Kursk region reported on March 5.
