30 North Korean Soldiers Killed or Wounded in Kursk Region, Says Ukrainian Intelligence
Up to 30 North Korean soldiers were killed or wounded during assaults on Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region between December 14 and 15, according to Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate (HUR).
The report also noted that 3 North Korean soldiers are missing in action.
To compensate for these losses, Russian command is reinforcing its assault groups with additional troops, including personnel from North Korea's 94th Independent Brigade, in an effort to sustain offensive operations in the region, HUR noted.
Previously on December 14, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Russia has deployed North Korean soldiers for the first time to assault Ukrainian positions in Russia's Kursk region, and on December 15, the commander of the Ukrainian special drone unit 'Ptakhy Madyara' shared footage showing the aftermath of a battle in the Kursk region, where the bodies of Russian soldiers were found alongside those of North Korean soldiers.
