First-Ever Footage of North Korean Casualties in Russia’s Kursk Region Appears Online
On December 15, the commander of the Ukrainian special drone unit 'Ptakhy Madyara' shared footage showing the aftermath of a battle in the Kursk region, where the bodies of Russian soldiers were found alongside those of North Korean soldiers.
According to the commander, this is the result of today’s combat operations. He noted that after every wave of attacks, groups of four to five North Korean soldiers arrive in buggies, collect the bodies, line them up in rows, and conceal their faces. One of these vehicles was also captured by the drone’s camera after being targeted during an attack.
“This is a collective effort done by the FPV drone pilots of Ptakhy, the 414th Operational Regiment, Magura, the 95th Air Assault Brigade, the 36th Marine Brigade, and the 1st and 17th Tank Brigades,” said the ‘Madyar.’
Earlier, Ukraine’s Military Intelligence Directorate reported that after North Korean soldiers were deployed in assault operations in the Kursk region, integrated with Russian marines and airborne forces, combined Russian and North Korean units are estimated to have lost approximately 200 soldiers in total, including both fatalities and injuries.
