Russia Deploys General to Address Food Complaints From North Korean Troops in Kursk Region
Russia has deployed a general to the frontlines in the Kursk region following complaints from North Korean soldiers about inadequate food supplies.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, dissatisfaction has grown among North Korean soldiers stationed in the Kursk region due to insufficient food rations.
“To address the issue of underfed North Korean soldiers, Russia has sent Major General Mevlyutov, Deputy Commander for Resource Support of the Leningrad Military District, to the fields in the Kursk region,” HUR wrote.
Ukrainian intelligence reported that the Russian general ordered individual rations from the food supplies of the Russian Armed Forces’ 11th Separate Air Assault Brigade to be distributed to soldiers of the North Korean army.
It added that Russia continues the deployment of North Korean troops.
“Soldiers from North Korea's 92nd and 94th Special Forces Brigades are being placed under the operational command of Russian army units engaged in combat in the Kursk region. These include the 22nd Motorized Rifle Regiment, the 810th Separate Marine Brigade, and the aforementioned 11th Separate Air Assault Brigade,” HUR concluded.
On November 29, HUR stated that over 100 North Korean artillery systems, including 170mm self-propelled artillery systems (M-1989) and 240mm multiple launch rocket systems (M-1991), and an equal number of short-range ballistic missiles, specifically the KN-23/24 types, were transferred to Russia.
