“A Breath Away From a Full Ceasefire,” US State Department on Peace Talks With Russia

The US State Department has indicated that Ukraine and Russia are closer than ever to reaching a full ceasefire after three years of war.
State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce stated during a briefing on March 24 that negotiations have made significant progress, bringing both sides to the brink of an agreement.
“This is what’s fascinating. We’ve never been closer, a breath away from full ceasefire,” Bruce said.
According to Bruce, US negotiators are currently in Saudi Arabia discussing with Ukraine and Russia the possibility of expanding the ceasefire to include the Black Sea.

“(The goal now – ed.) is to fully restore peaceful commercial activity. The Black Sea, of course, is key to that. We are continuing contact with both Russia and Ukraine. We’re committed to continuing our work to bridge that gap,” the State Department spokesperson said.
On the same day, US President Donald Trump stated that the agreement on rare earth metals with Ukraine has already been made and will be signed soon.
