Angelina Jolie Makes Humanitarian Visit to Kherson Amid Ongoing Russian Attacks

Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie has visited the Ukrainian city of Kherson.

The announcement was made by former city council member Vitalii Bohdanov via Facebook on November 5, posting photos of her wearing a bulletproof vest with Ukrainian insignia.

According to local media and social media reports, Jolie visited several medical facilities, including a maternity hospital and a children’s hospital.

Her visit was reportedly part of an ongoing humanitarian aid program supporting civilians affected by Russia’s full-scale invasion.

According to Telegram-channel Ukraine context, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration presented Angelina Jolie with a commemorative “Kherson” coin.

According to previous reports, Angelina Jolie had already visited Ukraine in 2022 on her own initiative. In Lviv, she met with children injured in the Russian missile strike on the Kramatorsk railway station and spoke with displaced families at the city’s train station.

During her visit, an air raid alert forced Jolie, along with volunteers and civilians, to take shelter due to the threat of missile attacks.

Earlier, Prince Harry made an unannounced trip to Ukraine, visiting wounded soldiers undergoing rehabilitation at the Superhumans Centre in Lviv.
