The Atesh resistance movement has claimed responsibility for sabotaging a telecommunications module in Dagestan, a republic of Russia, the group reported on April 24.

According to the group, its agents carried out an operation in the Kizlyar district that resulted in the destruction of a telecommunications unit reportedly used to support mobile communication and internet services for key military and defense-industrial facilities.

Atesh added that as a result of the operation, the Kizlyar Electromechanical Plant, which manufactures aviation equipment for the MiG and Sukhoi corporations, and a separate rapid response battalion were left for a couple of days without communications or the ability to operate normally.

The group stated that resistance in Dagestan is growing, with increasing numbers of local residents allegedly joining its ranks.

Atesh agents perform different types of sabotage operations on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and Russia.

On March 18, activists of the Atesh movement carried out a successful sabotage operation, setting fire to a military vehicle in the Budionnivskyi district of the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk in the Donetsk region.
