Azov Brigade Pushes Russians Out of Serebryansky Forest in Luhansk Region
On June 15, it was reported that Russian forces have been pushed out from their positions in the Serebryansky forest in the Luhansk region. Sviatoslav Palamar, deputy commander of the Azov National Guard’s 12th Special Forces Brigade, attributed this to the efforts of Azov fighters.
The withdrawal was the result of offensive actions carried out by units of two brigades in April.
On April 21, the Azov 12th Special Forces Brigade and the Operational Rapid Response Brigade “Bureviy” of the National Guard of Ukraine jointly conducted an offensive in the Serebryansky forest.
“As a result of joint actions, the units of the brigades advanced 1 km in depth and 2 km along the front, completing one of the stages of the offensive in their direction,” Azov reported.
The information was released with a delay due to a number of reasons, the main one being the movement and consolidation of the brigades' units.
Serebryansky forest, also known as Kreminsk forest, is located adjacent to the city of Kreminna in Luhansk region. The Azov Brigade has been pushing back Russian forces in the area for several months.
