On September 30, the Belarusian military initiated a large-scale inspection to assess the combat readiness of its forces, including the Air Force and air defense units. According to the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, this phase of inspection is aimed at verifying the capability of military units to fulfill assigned tasks.

The Ministry’s announcement noted that inspections would progressively intensify, involving all military training grounds to execute “training-combat tasks.” Personnel, including reservists called up from the reserve, are expected to complete a comprehensive set of activities to prepare weapons and military equipment for deployment and move to designated areas.

During the inspection, the movement of military equipment is planned, which may lead to temporary restrictions on civilian traffic on public roads and local areas. Monitoring channels report that the inspection could involve two anti-aircraft missile brigades, two radio-technical brigades, five anti-aircraft missile regiments, and three aviation bases.

In light of these developments, the Center for Countering Disinformation has emphasized that this large-scale inspection is part of the Kremlin’s strategy to create tension along the Ukraine-Belarus border. They highlighted that the primary threat posed by Belarus to Ukraine continues to be informational.
