Belarusian Leader Lukashenko: “Tomahawks Will Escalate Situation to Nuclear War”

Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko has warned that deploying Tomahawk missiles in Ukraine will not resolve the war, but rather “escalate it to the brink of nuclear war,” Belorussian state media Belta reported on October 14.
US President Donald Trump previously said that he plans to raise the possibility of sending Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine if Russian leader Vladimir Putin does not agree to a settlement.
Lukashenko argued that the missile strikes would only worsen the situation, contradicting Ukraine’s goal of achieving peace.

Lukashenko, who has long supported Russia’s actions, said that Russia and its leadership are “focused on establishing peace in Ukraine.”
“No Tomahawks will solve the problem. It will only escalate the situation to nuclear war,” Lukashenko said.
“Donald Trump probably understands this better than anyone else, which is why he is in no hurry to hand over these deadly weapons and allow strikes deep inside Russia, as President Zelenskyy hopes,” he continued.
Previously, it was reported that Russia has transported more than 1,300 tons of ammunition to Belarus earlier this month, according to the Belarusian Railway Workers’ Community.
