Biden to Convene Leader-Level "Ramstein" Meeting in Germany Next Month

US President Joe Biden announced that in October he will convene a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at the leadership level in Germany.

This was stated in Biden's announcement during President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to the White House.

"I will convene a leader-level meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Germany next month to coordinate the efforts of the more than 50 countries supporting Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression," said the US President.

Biden also announced that nearly $8 billion will be allocated for weapons for Ukraine in the coming months.

Additionally, he directed the expansion of the F-16 pilot training program for Ukrainian pilots.

"Through these actions, my message is clear: The United States will provide Ukraine with the support it needs to win this war," Biden stated.

As part of his visit to the United States, Zelenskyy is expected to visit the US Capitol on Thursday.

It was announced earlier today that the United States has allocated a new military aid package to Ukraine worth $375 million. It includes, in particular, ammunition for HIMARS and artillery.
