US Announces New $375 Million Military Aid Package to Ukraine
The United States has allocated a new military aid package to Ukraine worth $375 million. It includes, in particular, ammunition for HIMARS and artillery.
This was announced on the Pentagon's website.
The package includes:
Air-to-ground missiles;
Ammunition for HIMARS;
155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition;
TOW missiles;
Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems;
M1117 armored personnel carriers;
MRAP armored vehicles;
Light tactical vehicles;
Armored bridge systems;
Small arms;
Patrol boats;
Engineering equipment and munitions;
Spare parts, support equipment, services, training, and transportation.
This is the 66th equipment package provided by the US administration under President Joe Biden from the US Department of Defense stockpiles since August 2021.
Media sources indicate that the Biden administration is in urgent negotiations with the US Congress to utilize $5.6 billion in military aid for Ukraine before September 30—the end of the fiscal year. The contents of this package are still being finalized.
