Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief Confirms Ukraine Is Set to Welcome First French Instructors on Its Territory

In a statement on telegram, Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces Syrskyi confirmed that Ukraine is set to welcome the first French instructors on its territory. His statements read:

“Together with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, we held a video meeting with the Minister of the Armed Forces of the French Republic, Sébastien Lecornu.

I warmly welcome France's initiative to send instructors to Ukraine to train Ukrainian military personnel. I have already signed documents that will allow the first French instructors to soon visit our training centers and familiarize themselves with their infrastructure and staff.

I believe that France's determination will encourage other partners to join this ambitious project. I thanked the Minister for the friendly support of the French people and for the military and economic assistance to Ukraine in repelling Russian military aggression.”
