Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,180 Troops, 5 Tanks, and 26 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost approximately 1,180 personnel and 26 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, according to figures released by Ukraine’s General Staff on February 16.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, Russia’s total estimated combat losses have reached about 1,254,450 troops.

The General Staff’s updated totals also list:
tanks: 11,676 (+4);
armored combat vehicles: 24,042 (+5);
artillery systems: 37,319 (+26);
multiple launch rocket systems: 1,648 (no change);
air defense systems: 1,301 (+1);
aircraft: 435 (no change);
helicopters: 347 (no change);
operational-tactical drones: 135,459 (+601);
cruise missiles: 4,286 (no change);
warships and boats: 29 (no change);
submarines: 2 (no change);
vehicles and fuel tankers: 78,654 (+169);
specialized equipment: 4,071 (no change).

Separately, the General Staff reported 235 combat engagements along the front line during the same period, with the heaviest Russian assault activity concentrated in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors.
Earlier, a senior NATO official confirmed that Russia lost approximately 1.3 million troops killed or wounded since launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
