Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,710 Troops, Three Tanks and 29 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost 1,710 personnel over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on March 18, marking one of the highest daily loss figures in recent weeks.
According to the update, Russia’s total estimated losses since the start of its full-scale war against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,282,570 troops.

Ukrainian forces also reported destroying additional equipment, including three tanks, 11 armored fighting vehicles, and 29 artillery systems over the past day.
Drone losses remained significant, with 1,189 operational-tactical UAVs reportedly neutralized, along with 230 vehicles and fuel tankers.
Cumulative Russian losses now include 11,786 tanks, 24,229 armored vehicles, and 38,506 artillery systems, among other assets.

The report comes amid intensified fighting along the front line, where 286 combat engagements were recorded over the past 24 hours.
Earlier, reports emerged that Ukrainian engineering troops and support forces showed significant results from their operations throughout February.
Data shows that 678 Russian soldiers were eliminated on engineering barriers set by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in February. In addition to the personnel losses, the operations destroyed 120 units of weapons and military equipment and 19 additional military targets.
