According to updated operational data as of 8:00 a.m. on January 27, Russian forces carried out 99 airstrikes, dropping 227 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, they launched 7,462 loitering munitions and conducted 3,838 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 74 strikes using multiple launch rocket systems.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Russian forces suffered approximately 35,000 casualties—killed and severely wounded—in December 2025 alone, highlighting the effectiveness of Ukraine’s evolving drone warfare capabilities.
He stressed that the Ukrainian military must reach a level where Russia’s monthly losses exceed its ability to replenish troops. According to Zelenskyy, an optimal monthly target would be the elimination of 50,000 Russian soldiers.
