Daily Update: Russia Loses 940 Soldiers, 30 Artillery Systems, and 1,885 Drones in One Day

Russia lost 940 troops over the past day, bringing its total personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion to about 1,287,880, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on March 22.

In its latest battlefield update, the General Staff also reported that Russian forces lost three tanks, one armored combat vehicle, 30 artillery systems, three multiple launch rocket systems, three air defense systems, 121 vehicles and fuel tanks, two pieces of special equipment, and 1,885 operational-tactical UAVs over the same period.

According to the updated figures, Russia’s cumulative losses since February 24, 2022, include 11,793 tanks, 24,263 armored combat vehicles, 38,638 artillery systems, 1,694 MLRS, 1,336 air defense systems, 435 aircraft, and 350 helicopters.

The total also includes 190,870 operational-tactical UAVs, 4,468 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, two submarines, 84,639 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 4,098 pieces of special equipment.

The battlefield update also coincided with Ukrainian efforts to introduce new support technologies for frontline units.

Ukrainian airborne assault forces have begun testing exoskeletons on the front line, with early models deployed to units operating in the Pokrovsk sector, the 7th Air Assault Corps reported on March 20.

The corps stated that the systems have been issued to several formations and are being evaluated in both logistics operations and at active combat positions.
