Dmytro Kuleba Dismissed as Ukraine’s Foreign Minister

Ukrainian Parliament dismissed Dmytro Kuleba from the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Yesterday, the presiding officer and the first deputy speaker announced a break specifically regarding the issue of Kulеbа's dismissal. Today, total of 240 members of parliament voted in favor of the decision, as reported by member of parliament Oleksii Honcharenko.

Kuleba did not attend the parliament to give a report.

Previously on September 4, Dmytro Kuleba has handed in his resignation letter.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has submitted a proposal to the Ukrainian Parliament for the appointment of a new Minister of Foreign Affairs. He has nominated Andrii Sybiha, who is currently the Deputy Foreign Minister, for this position.

It was reported earlier that Zelenskyy has initiated a significant government overhaul, emphasizing the need for "new energy within the administration today." The President made this statement during a joint press briefing with Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris.

"These steps are only associated with strengthening our state in various sectors — international politics and diplomacy are no exception,” the President said.
