Drones have targeted a petroleum facility in Russia’s Tambov region, causing a fire at one of the storage tanks, according to Russian media.

Maxim Egorov, the governor of the Tambov region, Russia, confirmed drone attacks in two districts. A fire was reported at the Platonovskaya petroleum facility in the Rasskazovo municipal district. Additionally, another drone wreckage was found in the Pervomaisk municipal district. Egorov stated that the drone allegedly detonated mid-air.

Russian media sources indicate that at least three kamikaze drones were involved in the attack on the Platonovskaya petroleum facility.

Earlier, Russian Telegram channels reported drone strikes on the Afipsky refinery in the Krasnodar region and a petroleum facility in Adygea. The governor of Adygea later confirmed these reports.

In the morning, a Russian news agency reported that Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 15 drones overnight over the regions of Adygea, Krasnodar, Bryansk, Rostov, Belgorod, and Oryol.
