Dynamo Kyiv to Face Roma in Europa League
Kyiv’s Dynamo will face Italy’s Roma in an away match during the third round of the 2024/25 Europa League group stage.
The match is set to take place on October 24 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, with kickoff scheduled for 19:45 Kyiv time.
“Dynamo” has started its Europa League campaign with two defeats, suffering a heavy loss to “Lazio” (0-3) in the opening round and then falling to “Hoffenheim” (0-2) in the second match.
“Roma” has had a mixed start, drawing with “Athletic” from Bilbao (1-1) and unexpectedly losing to Swedish “Elfsborg” (0-1).
This match marks the third meeting in the current tournament for the Kyiv team. In their previous encounters, “Dynamo” and “Roma” have each won twice, with a total of four matchups between them.
Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbik, who has played 10 matches for “Roma,” scoring four goals and providing one assist, will be one to watch.
The referee for the match will be 38-year-old Dutch official Serdar Gözübüyük, assisted by compatriots Erwin Zeinstra and Johan Balder, with Sander van der Eijk serving as the fourth official. Dennis Higler will oversee the VAR.
As of now, “Dynamo” sits in 35th place in the overall standings of the Europa League group stage, having yet to earn a point. “Roma,” with one point, occupies the 27th position. The eight best teams from this stage will advance directly to the Round of 16, while clubs placed from 9th to 24th will enter playoff matches to secure their spot in the next round.
