Netflix’s Lupin Star Omar Sy Wears Ukrainian Designer’s Hat in New Season

French actor Omar Sy, known for his leading role in Netflix’s crime series Lupin, appeared wearing a beanie by Ukrainian fashion brand Ruslan Baginskiy in the show’s fourth season, bringing Ukrainian design to one of the streaming platform’s internationally recognized productions.

Ukrainian designer Ruslan Baginskiy confirmed the appearance through the brand’s official Instagram account on October 25, thanking Netflix, the production team, and Sy for their collaboration.

The blue beanie, featuring the Ukrainian label’s branding, was incorporated into the wardrobe of Assane Diop, the series’ central character, who frequently relies on disguises and changes of appearance.

The actor also recorded a video message specifically for Ukrainian viewers, inviting them to watch the fourth season of the French series.

The latest installment premiered on Netflix on October 23, continuing the story of Assane Diop, a skilled thief whose methods are inspired by Arsène Lupin, the fictional gentleman burglar created by French writer Maurice Leblanc.

Set four years after previous events, the new season follows Diop as he attempts to serve his sentence and reunite with his family. His plans are complicated by the appearance of a mysterious impersonator, forcing him to investigate the individual responsible while attempting to clear his name.

Founded by Ukrainian designer Ruslan Baginskiy, the eponymous fashion label specializes in headwear and has developed an international presence through its distinctive designs.

Ruslan Baginskiy’s designs have previously appeared in Netflix productions. In the fifth season of Emily in Paris, which premiered in December 2025, Ashley Park’s character Mindy Chen wore two hats by the Ukrainian designer. The brand’s accessories were also featured in the show’s fourth season, worn by both Mindy and Emily Cooper.
