This summer, twelve windows of the iconic Galeries Lafayette department store in Paris are dedicated to the Ukrainian fashion brand Ruslan Baginskiy. The project marks the brand’s 10th anniversary and represents the first takeover of this scale by a Ukrainian fashion label at the landmark location.
The installation, titled Ruslan Baginskiy Tales, presents a visual narrative that blends modern design with traditional Ukrainian craftsmanship. Each of the twelve windows offers a distinct story—from displays in blue and yellow as a reference to the national flag, to a window inspired by Kazimir Malevich’s avant-garde work, and a tribute to the wicker weaving traditions of Iza village in Zakarpattia.
A large-scale version of the brand’s signature cap, previously presented during Kyiv Fashion Week in 2024, has been installed above the main entrance.

Galeries Lafayette, located in central Paris, attracts 27 million visitors annually and is known for its collaborations with leading global fashion houses including Prada, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Jacquemus. Window displays at the department store have long served as a space for creative expression and visual storytelling.
Ruslan Baginskiy’s designs are worn by global celebrities such as Madonna, Beyoncé, Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and many others—further strengthening the brand’s international presence.

The Ruslan Baginskiy project is included in the official calendar of Paris Couture Week, highlighting the growing visibility of Ukrainian fashion on the international stage.

Reflecting on the moment, designer Ruslan Baginskiy shared on Instagram:
“The legendary windows and walls of Galeries Lafayette—usually curated by the biggest names in fashion— are now telling a story about Ukraine. About our brand, about craft and tradition, about Ukrainian avant-garde and cultural strength. It’s a big honor to be part of this. And for me, it’s also very personal—we’re 10 years old, and we’re here.
We all know how hard it is to create now. This project took an incredible amount of effort. But it also shows that we are still here. Thank you to everyone who’s been with us. More to come.”
The exhibition runs from July 8 to August 25.
Previously, it was reported that Ukrainian clothing label Etnodim has released a new capsule collection titled “Qırım,” inspired by the Crimean Peninsula and its Indigenous people, the Crimean Tatars. The collection aims to foster a deeper appreciation of Crimean Tatar identity, culture, and history.
